    Default Throttle body maintenance

    Gday.Can any of you blokes tell us if theres a procedure to cleaning the throttle body of the 3.8 VS wagon? Would you use a carby cleaner or is there a specific cleaner? Thanks.

    pull it off the car and remove the tps (or any sensor) and clean the crap out of it with carby cleaner or smiler than let to dry and re fit.

    i like to get an old toothbrush and scrub them around the butterfly etc and also clean the end off the irc (idle air control) and clean the hole it sits in

    There's a "how to" which covers the VR which is similar to the VS and should give you some help:

    How ya goin moffy? Youve come to the rescue once more.Ill do that tommorrow as well as an oil/filter change.Mate me cars not stalling anymore after changing the plugs and leads.Strange eh.I still havent changed the Dfi module or coils.Im waiting to see if itll stall.So far so good eh. No worries Hako.I tried doin a search for it.But obviously fell short.Ill check it out as well.Thanks heaps again.Truly.

    just scroll through the how-to section. it's definitly there. carb cleaner works a treat. simple enough if you can spin a spanner
