Whats This Thing?

Fellas,what have i done here? Pulled the throttle body off to clean it this arvo..Heaps filthy eh.Used the carby cleaner and toothbrush,and came out good.I took off the 2 plastic plugs.I take it one is the IAC.That was the worst filth in there and on it.Caked on black crap.took off the IAC,it was together.Then these bits just popped out.Oh ****.It was goin good up until that happenned.Could anyone tell us how these go back in? The needle and the litttle round bit.It seems that it screws in to the main unit.But i dont wanna have a go if im not sure eh.Heres some pics. Thanks again fellas.

I think i sorted it out.It fits nice and snug.I screwed it in.Then pushed it down.It must have come out with the pressure. Check it out please fellas. Thanks again.

its the iac valve ,if you have any idle promblems it will problery be this ,but if you start the car and the idle drops a little bit after start up ,it means its working

Gday matey.Youre right.Thats exactly what happened.Idle dropped slightly and im thinkin whats goin here? But them it came good after 5 minutes.Why is that?

Just the valve resetting as the computer corrects. There is a certain distance the tip of the valve should be set at, cant remember it exactly but it is listed in the gregorys. If its working though I would leave it.

No worries copper,Im startin to know my way around this engine.I like it.Its actually idling a little rough still.Not like it was when i put the TB back together.But the idle really hasnt made much difference from before i cleaned the TB.And its bloody well sparkling in and out.Plugs gapped at a loose 1.5mm.Thanks for the info matey.
