Ok there is a strange problem I am having with the rear cargo interior light.
When I have a normal festoon globe fitted, it works ok. But when I tried 1 of those festoon lights with LED's inside, it doesn't fully switch off when the rear wagon door is closed. With the door open, it comes on full brightness. But when the door is closed, it goes half brightness and stays like that for hours. Did leave it overnight and it was still on in the morning.
The globe looks something like this
I have tried it in the front interior light and it works great.
Has anyone else experienced this ??
I will have to look into this further.
Pull the switch out of the door and spray it up with some wd40 and see how it goes then
Wagons have a mercury switch (tilt sensor), which is different from your door light switches (and not visible without the tailgate trim panel off)
Not sure how it could dim the light to 'half' on. It should work either on, or off, no inbetween. Do you really need that LED globe?

Your incandescent bulb will have the same voltage on it too, and so would be using a tiny amount of power, but not enough to show any light, whereas with the led (being more efficient), there is just enough to turn it on.
What STEALTHY said makes sense. A reed switch may be allowing a little bit of power through, just enough to make the led light.
If it doesnt bother you, dont worry about it. Its not going to flatten your battery and both the led and the incandescent will draw that little bit of power, its just that with the led you see it. Just tell your friends its an ultra-efficient dimmer courtesy light.
Might pull the trim off and check the mercury switch.
And yes I do need the LED light because it is BLUE and looks cool![]()
Your mixing up want with need.
I like green, but a neon globe was ****ing with my centre light, so i took it out.
