    Question water pump replacement

    hi i have a weaping water to, to replace is it as simple as pulling off the belt and then unscrewing the bolts undo and replace with new one and gasket?? should i buy one from holden whats the price or wil one off ebay do?? cheers

    Get one from your local parts store like repco or bursons.
    Not a hard job really, get the old one off, clean up the surfaces, put some gasket goo on either side of the paper gasket and replace and torque up the bolts to required Nm

    yeah its easy, just remember to loosen the bolts on your power steering pulley before you remove the belt cos that pulley has to come off to get the pump off. Still easy tho. GMB pumps are ok, made in japan should be stamped on the pump. also remember to add cooling system pellets when you refill the system

    just remove the fan assy to give your self extra room only 4-5 bolts and a plug

    they dissolve into the coolant and lubricate the water pump seal around the shaft. Helps your pump last longer so you won't need to do it again in 6 months. They cost about $10 from holden

    so just put these pallets in at radiator cap im guessing?? when refilling
