ok hi im new to the forum and ive got a couple of quick questions (as usual).
one will vt springs fit in the front and back of a vr sedan (assuming the springs are from a vt sedan)
and two will the shocks also fit?
Far as I know they do as I have vt front struts and springs as well as vt rear springs and lowered shocks in a 94 vr statesman .![]()

I don't think they fit in to a live axle vr..is yours IRS or live axle?
True . .If it is a vr excutive I think most are live axle so I doubt the rear vt springs fit

Fronts will fit, but rears wont. If its an exec its a good chance its Live and theres no hope of the rears fitting. If it is irs then i cant be sure, maybe, maybe not.
A good guess wou;d be to look at an online king springs catalouge and see what type fit a VR and see if the same ones are listed for the VT
what year vr is it there could be a chance it came out with irs
or just get under and check
also they will sit higher than vr springs
Yeah your right vh_sle_81
VT springs will defenatly sit higher as the VT rear
Spring has a higher free length and the VT is heavier in the rear.
As any one who has used VR/VS rear lowering coils in a VT, it slams the VT
due to the factory differences. As for the shocks on all IRS sedans from VP through
to VZ are the same length, but be careful as wagons will fit but are alot
shorter!!!
Of course all of this only applies if the VR is IRS
I had my own Pedders Suspension Franchise for 8 years and have
lowered/raised many a commodore over that time, hope this helps all
involved![]()
it also applies to the front to, i had put my miss;s vs kings super low springs into the front of my vt wagon struts swapped over to get her car passed the pits and the wagon was slammed where as her was higher...
if i were 2 put vt front struts into the front of a vr would i be able to run a 35 series tyre instead of a 30 series when running 20 inch wheels?
not sure if ud be able but why would you want too, 30sereies on a 20 is too tall to start with and you wanna go taller
thanks for the info, saved myself a whole heap of screwing around for not a lot of effort
and yeah it is a live axle.
