hay all i've got a few problems/questions
No1 my rear electric windows made a squicking/grinding noise so i drowned it in wd40 the noise is a lot better and windows go up and down better. so before i put it all back together should i grease it all up ? i mean will this problem come back in a few months if i don't grease it all up ?
No2 my horn only works when i turn the steering wheel half way. LOL
No3 my front left window goes down but not up.you have to click it really fast to get the window up now is this the electric motor on the way out or just the buttons in th center consol ????
No4 i think that i ****ed up my thrust bearing when i change gear realy fast from 2 to 3 it sometimes makes squicking noise very similar to the noise when i my thrust bearing was on the way out could this noise be my thrust bearing ? i know that this one might be quite obvious to what the brobles it but i just want to make sure.
grease your window
under the steering wheel is a round brass/copper ring. its probably broken
the switch is probably buggered on the other window
thanks coasty i didn't have a clue to what was going on with the sterring wheel. and do you have to take off that nut in the center of the steering wheel to get to this copper ring ?
with the car running and in neutral, if ya push the clutch pedal down does it start making the noise then?
The window slides in both windows sound as though they are very dry - spraying with WD40 is only a temporary fix as it will dry out - you need to use either 'white' grease sold in a stick or graphite or silicone spray on the felt slides.
If you have a drivers airbag it will not have the normal round brass ring but will have a clockspring for the horn.
HARVZ-6 it doesn't really make a noise every time and if it does it is realy quick and short.and when it makes this noise from 2nd to 3rd i'm changing gears at about 5500rpm anything under that no noise.
