not sure if i spelt any of that properly but
2 questions -
1) how accurate is the stock water temp gauge on the stock VS cluster?
2) does any one know the increcements and high and low temp numbers??
eg. lowest temp is 40 degrees, increcements of 5, high 120 degrees
i was thinkin about popin the cluster out and putting the numbers on it, so i can be a cheap bastard and not buy a water temp gauge lol

1/2 - A ****ing hot arse day
3/4 - You havent taken good care of your coolant system now have you?
H - Nuclear Fusion
aZk.
1/2 is approx 100 c 1/4 is about 80 c 3/4 your fans ant working or radator is blocked
Yea, the guages are accurate (well, normally anyways). Temperatures are roughly what the other guys have said
One must remember that the VS has a very indicative gauge, some more so than others, so it's probably best taken as a rough guide. Half is normal running temp on a hot day, but most of the time it should sit around 1/3 or thereabouts. Going up to 3/4 is perfectly normal too, indicating that nothing is wrong with the system, but at this point the cooling fans should come on. From memory the lowest point C on the gauge is around 60 deg C, and the highest point I would imagine would be around 130 deg C. The cooling fan comes on at the low speed at 104 deg C, but that can be anywhere from just over half way to 3/4 on some cars. High speed fan is 109 deg C if not more, but the gauge may not show this.
normal is around 95c which is the quarter mark.
low speed fan comes on at half 100c.
high speed fan comes on at 3/4 110c.
any more than 3/4 you have something wrong.
