hey wats up im just wondering wat is a good body kit for a 1997 vs excutive n how much would it cost to be installed and get the whole car painted a metalic or gloss blacck...... cheers
keep it stock. dont do none of this vy kits n shit... because they look very shit.
Just lower ya car, put some nice rims, abit of engine work, window tint.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
SS kit ftw![]()
^^ I agree entirely. Get SS lips, sides and spoiler. Berlina/calias chrome window/bumpers/door trim and she will look Awesome.
Thats what I was planning to do with my VR - but in vivid white. I have since had a change in circumstance (in the form of a valiant regal) so Will not be doing this myself.
VS HDT Aero looks great when done properly
if not SS look then the calias look, personally i think it looks awesome, with some driving light bezels, with the grey two tone paint work, chrome trim, nice balck tint, and depending on the colour of your car i'm really liking the tinted lightslike front lights, indicators, rear lights, try and keep it looking hot stock, cause the VY body kits look awefull!!!
it may even interest you to get the HSV manta body kit, you'll be lucky to find originals, but fiberglass will still look better than the VY look![]()
as most above, no bodykit looks horn!! even a stock car on stock rims dumped looks good. if any kit,SS or aero but thats my personal opinion.
At the end of the day its your car and you'll kit it how you want ityou need to be happy with the look of it even if 100% of members on here dont like it. Its your car!
+1 for the ss kit!
cant go wrong
VS UTE SOLD
NEW RIDE VX BERLINA 5.7
yep ss kit is best nice and simple
I had the same dilemma when I had an exec. I was looking at kits and decided that the SS was the best by far so instead of putting one on my exec. I sold it and bought an SS, best of both worlds got the kit I wanted and a V8
If your going to burn the aussie flag please do us a favour and wrap yourself in it first
hsv kit ftw.
but yeah, vs look pretty good when theyre just standard, but a bit lowered on good wheels. the ss kit improves that
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport

1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
When i first got my vr and started the modding process i was keen on a body kit ..... and yes i considered the vy kit and a number of terrible looking aftermarket kits.... i have since come to love the shape of my vr in its natural executive shape (when lowered).
My plans are to leave it as is and paint it Metallic/mica black with a set of wicked rims.
Of all the body kits i like the ss on these models ..... If you really want a kit i would choose the ss...![]()
Quite like the WGR kits, although I am bias as that's what I did back on my p's all those years ago
Before and after shot below. Sorry about the quality but it was the cusp of the digital age. It's a photo of a photo lol
