    Default Sway bar upgrades

Having done lowered suspension and shocks, I'm thinking of upgrading the sway bars front and rear, aswell as the links.

Can anyone point me towards some info on what sizes of sway bar have what specific affects on handling of a sedan?

Go the Whiteline adjustable bars then you can set the car up how you like.
They sell direct to the public over the internet.

Antiroll bars obviously affect the stiffness of the suspension in roll and supplement the stiffness given by the springs, the balance of the roll stiffness front and rear has a major bearing on the cornering characteristic. A stiffer front bar will cause the front end to LOSE grip. The bar increases the amount of weight transferred across the front tyres compared to the rear, and because the traction capacity of a pair of tyres decreases as the weight transfer between them increases (governing laws of the tyre), that end loses grip.

However, if you increase the front and rear bar stiffness in proportion, the vehicle should slightly gain grip overall, due to the centre of gravity not moving to the outside as far during cornering loads (weight of car not tipping onto the outside as much), but it is really only marginal... For the track, you basically want to set the car up so the suspension roll angles are equal front and rear, therefore neutral handling... From the factory the front roll bar is probably too stiff, or the rear too soft... For incompetent 'drivers', understeer is safer and feels more natural than oversteer.

Oversteer scares passengers, understeer scares drivers!

Whiteline adjustables are for the hardcore.

For a balanced cost effective upgrade to your sway bars, replace the front and rear link kits. You may find that is enough and will also give you a feel for how it has influenced the handling.

I am using complete Noltec, however, all the bush manufacturers have them at reasonable prices.
