*URGENT* VR Statesman has faults

Hey guys i now have as a 2nd car a VR Stato V6

it has 2 probs

1) the sunroof worked yesterday and today nothing, the switch does nothing, whats the quickest temp way to shut it before it rains, can i hook it to 12 volts or sumthing

2) the first fuse from the left (fuse #1 from memory) keeps breaking after about 5 mins, every time without fail, whats the best thing to do, as this controls, dash illumination and tail lights, i have put a 25 fuse in and its ok for now but its not ideal


please help its going to rain tonight!!!!!

Which fuse is the sunroof hooked up to? Could be another blown fuse somewhere or a dead relay

If you're that worried about it, throw a tarp over the car.

fuse 1 also controls the electric ariel, maybe it has shorted out internaly causing the fuse to keep blowing

ok so brainwave,
the mate i bought this car off, took the stereo out so there is no deck, and took the stereo fuse out so there were no live wires, when he put the shroud back in, maybe the arial cable it shorting on somthing....plausable?

Anything is possible if people have been fiddling around behind the head unit. I've seen some HORRENDOUS wiring jobs.

i closed the sun by putting 12 volts straight to the motor, so that sorts that for now,

what usually makes fuse #1 get thrown
