    Default Ciggie Lighter Issue

    Hi all,

    VS V6 Exec S1
    Problem with my cigarette lighter.
The lighter works fine but any type of phone charger will not.

    Any clues.

If the lighter is working there is power there. It is either going to be a bad connection - try pushing or moving the phone charger around in the cigarette socket. Blown fuse in the phone charger. Normally you can unscrew the cigarette connection and there is a fuse in there. If thats blown replace it. Could also be the phone charger circuit itself faulty, try another phone charger.

Make sure the contacts are clean in the socket. If the lighter has been used regularly they can build up a lot of ash and shit.

maybe the lighter doesnt get enough power for the adaptor to turn on? checked the lighter with a multimeter, and have you got anything spliced into the lighter power cable to run anything else?
