hiya all enyone come across this my trans is fine for about 5 mins then only runs in first and second thrird it slips and if its in forth at the time it plays up i have to stop and put it back into second to drive it home once its cooled down it changes fine 4 a cpl of km than loses third forth again changed the filter but didnt do alot

If its getting hot in 5 mins you'd imagine that the clutches are slipping and heating the oil up or something along those lines. Depending on how long you want to keep the car and how much you are willing to spend to get it fixed will determine your next step. If it was me I'd put some of that auto trans stop slip stuff in the oil - that will make the clutches grip a bit better and reduce the heat (if thats the problem).
It's less than $15 for a tin and compared to the cost of a reco trans ($2000) it's peanuts.
