Default how low is too low?

i have a vr berlina which has been lowered on 18s, was that way when i bought it, is pretty dumped as the wheel arch covers the top of the tyre. just wondering if it would still be alright with a full car as well as having a sub in the boot and spare tyre or if it would hit the guards?

too low is 100mm clearance without a full car including sub well thats the legalities aside

all depends on the offset of the rims, some done scrub at all with a full car load and others scrub with only 1 passenger in the back. i could rub on the inner guards or outer guards.

if inner guards, incorrect offset, either raise it, or change rims with the correct offset.

if outer guards, roll the guards and that should just about do it. or adjust the camber a little bit at the risk of premature tyre wear.

Basically if you car is too low for the suspension to work correctly (ie. if you are bottoming out on the rubber bump stops) then your car is too low. Might look nice but won't handle as well as cars that have not been lowered as much.

well all depends on what you like your ride to feel like, mine is pretty low and is pretty much hits bumpstops on any small bump but i doesn't worry me

but some of my mates hate the ride of my car, but meh! my car my choice
