foglight switch installation question

okay i bought a factory vs foglight switch off ebay and i need some tips on how to install it. first question is can that piece of plastic that covers the hole be removed in anyway or will i just have to cut or file it out? second question once i have a hole there will the switch just pop in or is there another piece of plastic thet needs to be screwed in behind it so it can clip in as i can remember seing a screw hole behind it when i removed the dash a while back.

any help would be great cheers.

You will need to cut out the section. I used a dremel with a cut-off wheel. It made light work of the job. I then filed down the edges. To keep the switch in place you will need a plastic bracket which is attached by two screws to backside of the fascia. The part number is 92044316 and cost $1.82 from Motor Traders. The screws cost $0.77 each (part number 92138131). Have fun.

well i cut the hole and im just makin a bracket thing out of plastic which will hopefully work haha i should be alright otherwise ill try my luck with the wreckers

well its all fitted and working fine now, looks a bit dodge from the back but you wont see that bit lol thanx for the reply anyways seraphic06
