    Smile Noisy Air Con Compressor

Hi. I have just had my Air Con Re-Gassed and had some leaks fixed. Also I had a new Filter installed. All was working ok for a day or two and now I am getting a noise somewhere in the Engine when the Compressor is running I cant pin point where the noise is it sounds like it is coming from the Compressor but hard to tell. when the compressor is off the noise is not there. can anyone help or suggest something I can do to see if the Compressor is ok and where is a good place in Brisbane to go.
    thanks Sutto

    welcome to the forum firstly...

bit hard to know what to tell you without an idea of what the noise sounds like. grab a bit of garden hose and use it as a stethoscope and see if you can pin-point it.
Short of that are you able to take it back to the place that re-gassed it for you? they'd surely shed some light on it...

Hi. Thanks for the advice with the hose I tried it and the Noise seems to be coming from behind the pullys and the Power Steering refile box. The Pully that you use to remove or install your main belt. The noise is hard to explain but I will give it a try. it sounds like a crackling noise like a piece of papaer is being hit by something but there is no paper in there. Holden recently installed a new engine, Radiator and water Pumb. The noise is not as load as it was yesterday.
    Thanks Sutto

while your engine is running have a look down at the compressor at the front and see if its spinning or if its locking up,might need a new compressor or be re-adjusted.
