    Default vr-vs clutch

    hey,

this may sound a bit of a random question, I havent driven many manual cars, I have driven a few (landcruisers, hiluxes, lancers, corollas etc) I know that they are hydraulic clutch operated, I have been told by a few people that the VR-VS commodore clutches are cable operated and that they are heavy, but how heavy are they compared with a hydraulic system?

    thanks, andy.

VS series 1 and before are cable, VS series 2 and beyond are hydraulic.
There isn't much difference between the weights of them (if the cable is in good condition) but you tend to get more feel out of the cable clutches.
I tend to prefer the cable ones.

Yes VS1 and before are cable, but the stocko clutch isnt heavy i dont think. My new HD clutch is how ever nice and heavy and grabs harder than an angry bouncer at the pub
