    Default Passenger side calipers seizing

been having this issue on and off. sometimes when driving on the freeway, ill notice my inst fuel usage is around 18L/100km, instead of the usual 9 or 10L. i pulled over last night and could smell the left side brakes were cooking. i hopped back in the car, pulsed the pedal a few times, then went off driving, and this seemed to free it up a bit. what could cause this? ABS issue possibly?

The caliper guides might need to be regreased, I'm not 100% certain but I think there is a specific type of grease that is meant to be used. Failing that, you will probably need to overhaul the caliper completely... if that was the case I'd recommend doing the whole lot so that everything was even.

i replaced the front two not long ago. seems weird that it would be affecting both the front and rear caliper at the same time? im putting VT brakes on the front soon, so i want to find the issue before i put them on

Maybe the brake lines need a complete flush out of the current fluid and replace with new fluid? The only other thing I can think of is maybe the proportioning valve or one of the brake circuits is playing up? I think the circuits are designed so that if one fails you still have one brake that works at each end of the car, but I think they are on opposite sides.... which wouldn't explain how both brakes on the passenger side are staying on though

Dont think the abs would do it, but possibly. The same likely hood that for some reason both calipers are starting to seize too. Rip em off and have a look at them.
