was just having a look through ebay and found an SS inductions cold air intake for the vs v6 and they want $400+ for it. it looks exactly the same as the factory S/C CAI.

Whats the difference?

apart from the $300 odd difference even when sourced from holden itself!!

Nah mate you're not missing anything id definately recommend going with the genuine holden sc cai which should set you back around $60 from most dealerships. Both draw about the same amount of cold air over the radiator plus if the rest of the intake system is standard then there will be other restrictions holding you back more than any difference between these two cai systems anyway. So basically there is no real difference and the extra money for the ss inductions cai could be better spent on other car parts. Thats my opinion.
