hey ya, i have a V6 VR im interested in a LS1 conversion, ill be doing the work myself. im just wondering what do i need to get the LS1 into the engine bay? im guessing a tail shaft, engine and gearbox mount mod???? any help from someone that has done this or the same sort of conversion would be much appreciated.
i recon save your money and buy a vu ss or sumthin but thats just my opinion
Search, this has been done to death in the VR/VS and VN/VP sections.

some people with nothing to say like 2 be heard....^^^......^^^........
ive seen conversion kits with extange wiring harnes's with "delo engineering" or "castlemain rod shop". ive done lots of research on this and these people will send to you door and have every thing already sorted. worth a call .......4 sure
^^^^^ well said.
this is a conversion i would love do bo but just dont have the funds. $3000 should get you a LS1 and box with std computer and wiring harness, as aboue castlemain rod shop can supplie you with all the little bits and peices for $2,558 Holden VN-VS Commodore
and you will prob need a few more things like custom zorst made along with tale shaft etc. there is a easy $7000![]()

If you got the cash i say go for it, i would like one in mine, but i just cant justify spending more than the cars worth on a engine. Not to mention i could by a whole ls1 car for the price the conversion would cost.
Its gonna be the custom extractors and engineers certification making custom mounts, getting the speedo setup and all the little crap things thats gonna cost you probably the same money as you spent on the engine and box alone.
