So I did search about this in both VN & VS forums but can’t find the answer. Both sun visors in my VS shudder and squeak when you rotate them to the side of you to stop the sun shining from the side. Is their away of fixing this? I believe it’s a matter of lubing it up but can’t see how you would do it to make it move freely and not squeak. Does the mounting point pull off at all as I tried but it didn’t work.

can anyone help me out here?

Just undo the 2 phillips head screws that hold the visor in place then remove - then put any lubricant on the friction surfaces - grease, vaseline, butter, margarine or silicone....whatever is handy.
and if tht fails, check ebay, they have clips, or even go to the wreckers. and pocket them.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
yeah i would suggest a spary on lube or something, I have similar issue's with the door hinges!
Ok have tried the spray lube, but it doesn’t seem to penetrate as it is such a tight fit and it seems, the sleeve in which the rod is in doesn’t come out or does it?

You should just be able to pull the visor straight off of the pivot point. Straight pull. Then slap some of your fave lube in there (lithium grease, RP7, KY) and stick it back together.

If you've removed it as per my previous post you can spray it with a silicone spray if necessay - that will penetrate anything. Leave it in to sun and the heat will help it penetrate although I cannot figure out why any spraylube is not penetrating (presuming you have removed the visor)
I've added a pix of what you should be looking at....lube should penetrate easily.
