    Default Sump, full of water?

    hey ive just pulled down my vs 3.8l ecotec because thensump was full of water. there didnt seem to be anything rong with the head gaskets and ive had the heads tested they are fine. i pulled the timing cover off and that seemed to check out and suggestions?

    could be the block is cracked and the water is seeping through a water jacket. Have it crack tested.

    It might be the inlet manifold gasket... he should have notcied it when the heads came off though..

    I am with AZK here, Inlet manifold gasket is a common one. But you should have seen the watermark in the valley where it goes past your pushrods and lifters.

    Water or coolant? - some of my grandkids filled my mower fuel tank with water.
