Another VS climate control issue

A majority of the time (alot lately due to it being summer), ill hop in and push "AUTO" to get the air con cranking.

But nothing at all happens. It wont switch on.

Rarely, very rarely, ill be driving and all of a sudden the air con will come on by itself.

My thoughts are that its a wiring problem, possibly just a bad connection to the climate control buttons.

any other ideas or people with the same issue?

Ive had this problem with my VS statesman before and turned out to be low on gas but not low enough to cause the safefy cut out switch to kick in,
but first I would rule out lowgas,faulty cut out switch,reciever driver faulty,and also a clogged filter (located in the the system) once all of this is checked then I would start to look at the electricle side of things but more than likely you have a leak

Cheers for that. Ill probs just take it somewhere that does air cons, tell them what wrong with it and make it their problem lol.
