    Default VS VT engine difference

Just about to source and engine from either a VS or a VT or perhaps a a VX.I am going to use it in nissan navara but the conversion guys told me that it is better to use a VS engine because if I use a VT or a VX I will have to cut into my firewall.I was under the impression that the engines in question were all the same apart from internal differences.Am I wrong?

    regards andrew

The differences between a vs and vt/x motor are very minor and are limited to things like a slightly different plenum, inlet manifold, fuel rail and injectors. As for the physical size/dimensions of the motors there is no difference.

Not sure about the vt, but vx had the EGR pipes and crap that might get in the way. IIRC when doing an engine conversion you need to meet the standards of the newest part (engine/shell), so technically you would need to keep the EGR stuff to pass with a newer engine. This may be completely irrelivant however :P

Surely the conversion guys can give you a bit more detail why they like the vs engine...?
