    Question Upgrading alarm

I'm new to the forum and just got a VS Berlina. I'm looking to upgrade the alarm system. I was wondering if the following car alarm product
SPY 2 Two Way LCD Car Alarm with Remote Start Engine System - Online Shopping with CrazySales.com.au Australia
can be used to upgrade the alarm and allow me to still use my current key less entry so that that the car will now have shock and microwave sensor. If it cant be used to upgrade could I wire it up in parallel so that when the car is locked it engages the new alarm and when unlocked disengages thus having both alarms working independently. I'm aware in second scenario the immobilizer will not engage if new alarm goes off, this is not a problem.

    Default Holden alarm upgrade

    Hi Mate

One alarm that I think would be perfect for you, would be the Mongoose MAP80G Series alarm system which includes a battery back-up siren, impact and glass break sensors and code hopping function and all black wires. It has a five star rating and is an upgrade pack for any Existing Holden remote controlled system. You can buy one of these kit's for about $500-$600.00 but if you look hard like I did on eBay, you could get one for as little as $200.00 and have it fitted for about $150.00 if you are not too keen on playing with the electric's in your car.

Yeah less than $200 sounds alright ill give it a look. thanks guys. Im pretty good with electronics so self installation shouldn't be too hard. problem is the cheapo alarms its hard to find wiring diagrams so is difficult to plan for.

    Cheers.

    Default alarm upgrade

I agree with daron. I would get an auto lecky to fit the alarm for about $150.00 it's not worth the hastle of trying to fit it yourself.

Btw, stay away from crazysales.com.au, and their eBay store...

I've bought through them before; I'm still waiting for the stuff to arrive. In my only contact with them I was told that I never paid. Going to the cops now to file a report.
