Removal of A/C compressor VS

Hey whats up? oi i have a mate that has a 5ltr vs commodore, im not to sure if the a/c compressor is the same as mine on my VR v6 statesman does anyone know? and do you have to suck the gas out before u remove it my mate seems to think yes but i reckon just let it rip!!!

any help would be awesome cheers!!!

who those interested i found out by LAW u need to suck the gas out and defentley better of getting a new compressor for 700. an about another 300 for labour....
