Default vr v6 running rough when hot due to high inlet temp

I am looking for some help on a vr v6 that i have been pulling my hair out over,
it misfires when it is warm enough for the themos to have phased a couple of times. the scan tool keeps reading crank angle and DFI faults, it is running rich and the air inlet temp sensor reads abnormally high (70 degrees) when it misfires. we have changed both crank and cam angle sensors, harmonic balancer, DFI module, ECU, MEMCAL, wiring loom, oxy sensor, MAP sensor and it has both spark and injector pulse as well as fuel pressure and flow. has anyone heard of anything like this before i do not believe it is valve train or head gasket related as there are no noises and the car runs fine until it gets up to a certain temperature and then turns to shit like a switch. i suspect maybe a faulty air temp sensor?? any help would be much appreciated

could be faulty plugs or to big a plug gap, bad leads or coils maybe. can you data log with the scan tool? what does the air inlet temp read normally? does it spike to 70 degrees or sit their constantly? what sort of intake you running? not a pod straight on the TB i hope

I'm not sure what temp the v6's normally run at as far as air temp goes but 70c would be quite cold on the 5 litre so maybe 70 is normal when idling?
