Supercharger pulley

hey im having trouble getting my SC pulley off
i undone the bolt in the middle of the pulley then put my pulley puller on and tightend it right up and all that happened was the edges of the pulley started bending rather than it coming off.
is there anything else im spozed to do?
or is it just a stubborn pulley that needs a bit more encouragement to get off?
