Default The Drag is on ! Lights about to go Green ! VE vs VR

Ok, this afternoon I am on my ways home from a hard days work. I get to this set of lights that is mainly a two lane road but there is a third at the set of lights which ends about 200 meters further up the road on my left hand side before it is back into 2 lanes . Now some dude in his brand spanner new VE ute pulls up on my left in the short straw lane. I switch my car to power mode ( thinking I will have him on ) and not expecting to win and to be blown off looking like a fool for trying. Now remember my VR II has been chipped with a " Fueltronics " Chip Memcal. Thats it, nothing else done to the old banger.

OK, Lights go green and I nail it, I hear this guy churp tyres ( Must of been manual I think? ) And we are into it, he didnt have the power to over take me nor catch me up as I pounced away by half a car length all the way before I shut it down in a 80 zone doing 94 and the VE on my Ar$e pulling in behind as the lane ran out. I throttled off to do 80 and he then pulled out into the right lane an over took.

I didnt think the old girl had it in her but I was rather impressed. Thinking that the VE owner must not have been too happy a old stockie VR II gave his new VE S pack a spanking. I am sure wasnt a V8, cause you can hear a V8 growl, all I herd was wheels churp and my old banger screaming at 5500 rpm pulling second gear keeping half a car on this VE ute.

Thats my story for today and go the VR II Banger, lol.

Except maybe that you should have thought this through before you said that you were just in an "illegal" "drag race"...

    thats gold

little info about the alloytec engines, on a hot day like today it will take longer for it to reach wide open throttle, so even tho his foot was flat the throttle butterfly would not of been wide open even tho the tyers churped off the line

I didnt say I was in an illegal drag race , you did. If you say that you have never comprimised the law in any shape, form or description from when you have been born, to this day, then you sir are a hypocrit.

    Peace.
