Lightbulb VS Ute Upgrade- VT interior?

Hello people lol im new to the forum so bear with me. I have a VS commodore ute 1998 model and im trying to upgrade the old dear a bit lol or rather a lot to give it that unique attribute. Im trying to work out whether you can take all the dash, interior, computer system, seats ect out of a VT commodore sedan or wagon and be able to fit it straight into the vs ute with out to many alterations or modifications. i have a mate that seems to think the vt gear will all fit straight in but the vt was a big step from the vs so im doubtful lol as you could imagine. Any help if greatly appreciated.

vt is too big to fit a vs. you have to cut the dash. most others should fit

the door trims also wouldn't fit as vt doors are rounder, i have seen tho a bloke with a vg ute fit the vt center console bit and it looked alright, he just got some panels fibre glassed up to match up to the rest of the dash

I believe the seats are different as well. You need to modify the rails on which they sit in order to install them into a VS. Same applies to the trims. Long story short, it is not worth the hassle to try and install a VT interior into a VS.

yeah ive looked into it a bit more....the interiors for the doors are also longer in the vt. the idea of a vt interoir is all nice and dandy but it seems to hard so iv decided to go for a statesmen interoir which should fit straight in. any thing i should no

You'll have no problems fitting the statesman interior to the ute, all just bolts up.
I've almost completed mine, only the seats to go in as the original donor statesman I was using didn't have the best seats in condition, now have some sitting in the garage to go in.
Whilst you're replacing the interior put in the level three dash as well, it's easy to do and modified loom is easy to fit when dash pad is out.
If interested in level three conversion, have a look at thread 'Trippin'.
