vs ute reverse light problem

hey i have a 96 manual vs ute but when i put it in to reverse i have no reverse lights. i have checked the fuses and the bulbs but they are all fine. any suggestions?

check your reverse switch on the gearbox most likely failed

Get someone to watch your rear lights while you change gears if they flick on at some stage while changing gears you will find your switch at the gearbox is out of alignment.

As above its most likely your reverse light switch on the gearbox. A new one from holden should cost you around $40 and is easy for you to install yourself. It is located on the drivers side of the gearbox, about half way along and near the top. Its got a plug with wires attached to it. Just unplug the wires, unscrew it (22mm spanner from memory) and then screw in the new one.
