Hi everyone, yesterday it was almost 40 in perth so my car was running quite hot, as i was going down the freeway my mate calls me up (he was behind me at the time) and he told me to pull over because my car is blowing out lots of smoke.
the engine had oil all over it, and the belt was teared up
it seems like the majority of it is around the oil filter, and the surrounding areas
where would be the best spot to start looking for the leak? or would it be easier to replace the engine? as i have one, but i don't have a crane to put it in.
thanks
-matt
possibley the oil pressure switch located where the oil filter is..AL;so make sure oil filter is tight
i checked them they both seem fine, could it be the rear main seal?
wash it down real good and let it idle or go for another drive, also check the auto (if its auto) and see if its low, could be the trans lines let go
i dont think it would be the rear main seal as it wouldnt cover the front of the engine with oil
