VS automatic selector knob removal

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the rubber gear knob from the selector shaft on automatic gearboxes in VSs

It is not that hard. Get your fingers around the back of the knob, sort of peel it back where it meets the shifter and push it forwards towards the front of the car. Then grab the knob and twist it back towards the rear of the car. You may need to repeat the procedure over for it to come off.

Hey thanks heaps seraphic. I'll try that - thought all was lost when I couldn't find a grub screw and the knob didn't want to unscrew
