I have a manual VR SS 1995 sedan and trying to install the factory crusie to it. I have installed the crusie stalk, control module in engine bay and both brake and clutch switches. All looms were there to plug and play. I just cannot get it to turn on at all. The only thing i can think of is the bcm is a low and might need a med or high.
Any help would be appreciated.![]()
from what i have read just than your low series bcm is ok and for high series bcm's the tdm is used but is not what your after
basically there is a relay in the bcm that turns on the cruise on or off
does the light light up on the dash? also check the globe. it should be on when ignition is on if you have selected it to be on but the crs light will only come on when its engaged
No sorry... no lights for crusie on dash at all even when i push the cruise on button.
All BCM support cruise. Do you have the cruise control relay fitted under the dash? Low BCMs require it. Its a big one, second in from the right, above the main fuse panel.
This is on VS, VR might be the same?

It is true that on all VSs every bcm..low med or high, support cruise, power windows etc but on VRs they dont and that is a fact the VR low series does not....I have made a toggle control relay that goes in the circuit and looks factory to over come this problem so you dont have to replace your bcm/keyheads. Read here bloody cruise control if you are interested
