I've got an oil leak coming out from the head section just below the fuel injectors (VR V6). I have spotted some oil seepage coming from the retaining bolts, driver side (pointed by the arrow on the photo, bottom right). I'm not sure if it occurs on all the head bolts or if there is some seepage on the rocker cover gasket as well. The passenger side appears to have a bit of seepage also.
I'm just wondering what's the best way to sort this out based on your experience.
From the picture id guess you've got a small leak from either your rocker covers or your valley (inlet manifold gasket). Give it a really good degrease so its all clean and then take it for a drive to see if you can pinpoint where its coming from. If not then id start replacing the gasket seals. This is not a hard diy job.
If it was me - (and remember I don't like spending money for no real gain) - then I'd do as cander24 says and probably figure that its just a oil weep on an old car and is to be expected. Unless it is actually running down the rocker cover and going over the exhaust manifold it will not cause any harm and shouldn't be a sign of impending disaster.
Good Luck.
