regarding a 304 but would have the same effect (if any) on a V6 too......
if i made a spacer plate (approx 1" thick) to fit between the elbow on the throttle body and the intake manifold would this increase performance?
i'm very interested to hear anyones thoughts on this or whether any1 has tried it........
the closer the butterfly is to the plenum chamber the better the throttle response.
sounds like a waste of time, youd be better off modifiying the throttle body throat to face the bonnet and make up a custom cai to go along with it.
Eliminator, do you mean get rid of the elbow and bolt the throttle straight to the manifold?
how do the carby engines benefit from carby spacer? thats what i had in mind when i asked...
carbies, manifolds and spacers work different to EFI setups. with carbies you need to worry about booster signals, plenum volume (spacers) etc to get the best fuel atomisation. with efi, atomisation is down to the injector design and fuel pressure
