just bought a dual fuel v6 caprice and wondering. whas the best way to change from gas to fuel and vice versa. should i be stationary or moving. Cheers
you should try it stationary just to see how the change goes.
i have no issues with the ZL when changing stationary but its handy to know.
it makes no difference to the system if you change it stationary or moving.
i usually change mine moving though.
foot off accelerator - flick the switch - wait a couple of seconds- continue as you were.
i know these v6's like to have a few revs before it changed to lpg and back to petrol just depends on the setup i guess
I change mine stationary. People say you should do it stationary before you start engine because the colder petrol will crack something, others say moving and people I bought car did it moving but you need high revs on mine going above 80 lol.

no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
Every gas system on different cars will perform differently to each other but in my experience it is just as easy to do it stationary as it is moving, usually at around 2000 revs. Just try both methods and see what works best for you.
if moving or stationary i was told by LPG man when i got it done that do it around 1500rpm, gas to petrol is a bit funny sometime but petrol to gas is smooth
It doesn't really matter which way you do it, as long as it doesn't stall, cos then its just a pain in the arse.
