yeah good on him for being a scammer, people who agree with scammers deserved to be scammed themselves. I could make a better CAI out of junk plastic and probably work better.

it really is pathetic though aint it?
there have been more than enough discussions about how, when why and what for these things can do etc!
and the cost compared to functionality is not justified with what he is selling! what this seller is asking is an absolute crime!

Asif anyone actually buys SS reductions kits anyway. The stock holden one does the same job, for half the money, and looks a million times better!

it includes: Cold Air Intake, Performance Air Filter, Performance Lead Set

    High Performance Ignition Leads
9mm Spiral Wire gives lower resistance than standard leads hence a stronger spark for better performance and economy. RRP $165.00.
    Part # HPL004

The kit has leads but it's still way over priced.

yeah but notice if you take away the price of the leads, you still have a huge cost for just a plastic part that does nothing more than a stock CAI from any holden SS or HSV or whatever...
Wreakers have these going for $60 this also includes air filter box...
so yeah IMHO i personally beileve that even for a new part, these should ever go over $80

go and get one from holden mate. i bought mine with the bottom half of the airbox to suit all up for $90 from a holden dealer. then i went to burson's and bought a lukey high flow air filter and makes a MASSIVE difference. best $130 i've spent on a car.

see problem with that is some people that work at the holden parts dealerships are stupid, and don't know what a holden is...
For instance, walked in to holden a while back wanting replacment rad hoses asked what the going rate for a CAI for a V6 VS was going for, and there like we don't make em any more, and we have never stocked them, i'm like can you order one in?
he's like no i cannot, they don't exsist anymore!

yeah pretty much!! although i think the one they gave me was for a v8 because on the actual intake it has a sticker saying something about the 3 bleed points which is only on the v8 if i remember correctly??

if those ss induction kits were the same price as the holden cai id definately get that any day, looks meaner and would let more air in than the skinny s/c v6 airintake

You can mod the skinny s/c v6 Cold Air Intake quite easily if you want and it'll allow quite a bit more air. I on the other hand love the stock engine bay look

I could very well be mistaken on this, but I have heard repeatedly that SS Inductions CAIs actually reduce the air intake. Someone tested it apparently and was able to prove that it would perform better without one.

But as I said, I'm not sure. Could be a different brand, could be complete bollocks.

You would have to see the difference between the stock opening compared to that of this CAI your reffering to, but sounds to me like he's talking out his ar$e...
CAI can function differently in each and every car, if it's an incredibly hot day, then there's no cold air, where as if your out on the highway using the same car of course testing 2 different CAI's, i'd say that the difference would be so minimal if there was to even notice it!

yeah guys i dont know... just by looking at the larger mouth of the ss induction kit, besides the fact it looks tougher, i would of imagined it would have breathed better as well.. would like to see the graph to prove if its not as good as the holden cai would be an interesting read.

Ive seen people opening the s/c v6 cai but looks a bit funny... none the less when i decide to get rid of my pod shortly i will be getting a stock lower airbox, s3 v8 airbox lid and the s/c v6 cai then widening it..
