Default Roof Racks to fit VR Wagon

I went to buy some heavy duty roof racks from SuperCheap today, but they are for a sedan only. The gutter mount racks sit in the gutter and then clamp under the gutter inside top door arch. On the wagon the gutter goes right to the back of the car but the rear window goes right up to the gutter so there is no lip to clamp to. Is there a rack for the wagon that will take the weight of ladders etc. This is my work ride, the good ride VX SS, stays in the shed for weekends. The second photo I have marked, the area with the tick is where the racks fit, the area with the cross is where gutter mount rack will not fit. I need to span the full roof for an extension ladder.
    Help please guys.

yeah, it is a hard one, I need the rack to sit in the gutter so the gutter can take all the weight, some sit on the roof but end up making a dent. Gutter racks are fine for the sedan as the doors are the full length of the car. In the wagon the doors only car 3/4's the length of the car so the rack can't mount anywhere over the rear window area. I need that maximum span between front and rear rack. I will email those companies you told me about and see what they say.

These are mine, leats you know they exist. I think they are rhino?? racks. Hold heaps of weight, and will definatly shit in ladder weights, i usually throw sleepers and timber on them.

Do they use the original roof rack rails or is that a full kit?

The same roof racks that fitted on my VL sedan also now fit my VR wagon. My racks are THULE brand and quite strong.http://www.thule.com.au/
The hook bit just slides between the gutter and the window rubber bit. They are just the standard gutter mount roof racks.

    Hi Guys
Thanks for the replies, I emailed Roof Rack City ROOF RACK CITY AUSTRALIA's LEADING ROOF RACK SUPPLIER and the guy there asked me to ring him Monday to explain how to fit betwen gutter and glass at the rear of the wagon. Will let you know what he said, not sure if it just sqeezes in or you cut the rubber a little but he will know. I will be back on Monday night.

It just squeezes in, no cutting required. Have done it plenty of times on my VR wagon.

Default VR VT Wagon roof racks

I have a vr wagon with a full tradesman rack and the third bar is mounted over the rear windows, I have had the car for 13 years and i am a builder and have put close to 500 kg on it, 50 x 4.8 m lengths of 90 x 45 pine. It is absolutely fine.

Can anyone tell me whether the VT-VX series rack mounting positions are as strong as the VR VS gutters, my assumption is they are not
