    Default Hydogen fuel savers, get one!

    Hi all

    In the following of my last thread I noticed some people here wanted to start a discussion about the Brown's gas (Hydrogen and Oxygen injection).

    It implies an elecrolyser, it's a machine, very simple, where you pour water in, that transforms this water into a fuel that you inject in the engine via the air intake. It transforms your vehicle into an amazing Eco-Friendly powered machine.

    Pros and cons:

    * Engines run smoother

    * Saves on fuel costs

    * Reduces emissions by potentially 50% or more

    * Gives more power for less fuel.

    * Engine run cleaner with less carbon build up.

    * Increases engine life

    * Engine runs cooler

    * Engine to suffer less wear

    Some people have shown results close to 70% savings at this stage.

    If anyone wants some informations about this new technology, it's getting big in the US, just ask me and I will tell you what to do and advise you on some products that actually worth the dime.

    Does anyone have dyno figures using one of these? The perpetual motion idea is kinda hard to get around. It makes sense it can make the car run much smoother and possibly give more power but does this outweigh the additional load on the alternator? Also the outright cost of making a proper converter would take a while to pay for itself with the better economy, anyone have the figures on these as to how long it pays for itself?

    one of the sparkies at work has been toying with this idea for a while. he's built a single cell HHO unit but decided it gave little-non improvement on his diesel 4x4. he's currently working on a multicell setup which is suppose to be much more efficient. he's certainly done his research (i've seen it) and has various designs. if you put some though into it they can be made fairly cheaply. if he has any success in the future i'll post some data.

    funnily enough, reading through some of the info on HHO, it states that with HHO the mixture "explodes" faster then the convetion AF mix (also know as detonation). i certainly don't want anything exploding in my combustion chambers, i prefer the more controlled burn that normally occurs

    I'd suggest moving this to The Pub, or General as it's not just about VR/VS. Might also get a few more involved in the discussion.

    On topic, perhaps you could start by explaining how precisely you have modified your vehicle, what gains you believe you have experienced? There are many different "flavours" of water-powered car, and it would be helpful to know what you're claiming.

    Deano3350: The Alternator will not be overdrawn if you only use the extra amps which are about 20 in most cases. 20 amps is plenty considering you want the right amount of HHO that will enhance your combustion. Most experienced users recommands about 500mL per minute per Liter of engine. eg: v6 3.8 would need about 2L/mn and 20A is just enough to produce this amount.

    The cost is about us$200 for a whole system without the labour, you do the math. The way to go these days is the "dry cell", they are very efficient for only little money. Look it up. Here are 2 links for good dry cells (American builds sorry, very few in Australia, if you find any let me know):

    FireInThe Water and http://hydroclubusa.com/

    immortality: This gas explodes (it implodes actually) under pressure yes, the ratio is 1:1500 and that is huge. That's what we use fuels for actually, the explosion pushes the piston up and down.
