There are a few differences in the pedal arrangement between the cable setup and hydraulic setup on a vs. Pedal brackets look different.

As far as I know they are not interchangeable. Maybe with a bit of fabrication??? VS Series 2 onwards is hydraulic.

I tried for a while to do the opposoite, hydraulic pedal setup on a T5 on a VR, but i could never track down a hydrualic pedal box setup at a reasonable price and finding a Hydraulic throwout bearing to suit was hard as i could never get any straight clear answers on anything.

But you would have to do some fab work and even then you still may not get it right. I'm not saying you should give up, but it is definatly going to be easier to get the right pedal box and master even if you have to pay the $300 i have seen them go for.

If you can track down a VS series 2/3 pedal box, the alternative is to possibly use any suitable size clutch master off anything and make a fancy bracket up for it and mount it somwhere in the engine bay and rig the clutch cable upto it to operate it. And just run the hydraulic line to it.
