Default VS v6 ecu playing funny buggers

Got some annoying issues that i cannot work out n my VS v6!!!

i have two trouble codes on my ecu when i checked the other day.

    code 47 (CAS reference signal)

and 94 which is to do with speed sensor (cause im using auto ecu with a 5 speed) Anyway! the code 47 is the one that i am most concerned with here!

so what i did was change CAS, disconnected the ecu to reset and off i went. But car was still running weird. So i checked codes again... Same codes!!

I then replaced the complete DFI and coils, disconnected the ecu to reset, and off i went again! after a drive, checked codes again and the two codes are STILL THERE!?!?!?

Pulled the battery off for several mins, checked codes BEFORE EVEN STARTING THE CAR and both codes remain. I even tried totally unplugging the ecu again, code checking before starting and the buggers remain! What is going on here????

Just to note.. the speed sensor code im conscious will always be there, but shouldnt it only come up when the car is started?? this code doesnt bother me tho... doesnt cause me any hassles. Its the code 47 that has me stumped? should be the same deal right... as in should only log in the ecu once the car is started?

    Why wont these codes clear?

    PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!

earthing problem? grounding can cause a lot of pain, I`ve got the same prob at the moment with different codes but it linked to earthing, also check the 2 loom plugs at the ecu, pop open the plugs and make sure the wires are seated properly free from corrosion etc..

ummm, jjust a thought, with your CAS although you've changed it and there should be no issue's with it, i have a feeling it could be a shagged harmonic balancer, basically if it was damaged in anyway, or if it's just at the point in it's life it could be causing issue's with your CAS, as your CAS is a magnetic device and your harmonic balancer passes through it, it could be that this metal is slightly damaged?
So next step i'd take is replace the balancer so how you go after that!
    Good luck with it mate!

to set this code the engine is running (darr) below 1200 rpm and the pcm detects 240 reference pulses (80 crankshaft revs) and no 18x reference signal

and you will have no high resoluition est (electronic spark timing)

this is also for a auto ecm so im unshure for a manuel one but should be simmaler

    ok..

i checked all continuity of circuits PCM to DFI and PCM to CAS and they all seem to be fine.

I also tried the voltage testing method of checking the circuits (as instructed in the Holden Supplementary service book) and that checks out fine too.

I'm starting to suspect the PCM playing up or the balancer not being right.
