hi, i originally joint j/c coz i have a vs which i converted from auto to manual it goes like a dream now but its just the speedo now i got that working using a diagram off an old thread but was just wondering dose it matter if it isnt conected to the ecu and will this affect my car in the long run. any sugestions or help would be great. You are likely to have problems with stalling when you clutch the car when pulling up at an intersection.
You will also get the engine check light coming on unless you have disabled the auto in the memcal.

yer the check light dose come on now n then but it dosent tend to wana stall coz for sum reason the revs stay at 1000rvs for about 5 secs wen i pull up but not alll the time tho. is it possible it to be connected to the ecu wit auto comp remaped to manual?
i got mine done at morree...v6 conversions,,,send the comp n harness n it was like $300,comes back proper
yer but i gotta drive it to n from work so i only got weekends to do it + no rush it drives good enuff for now ill just do it wen rudd gives me $900
If you want to keep the original wiring loom and auto pcm the easiest solution would be Auto to Manual speedo solution
You have to get the memcal modded to disable the auto trans functions.

the vs ecu has a second input for manual VSS on pin D2 of the ecu instead of the stock auto location which is different for the different sensor wiring diagram is here on how to hook it up Rob's Creative Calibrations
