Hi All,
Got a problem with my transmission where it changes gears only at high revs. Checked the error codes and am getting error code 22 (Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) - Voltage Too Low). I've replaced the TPS and the fault is still occurring. Checked the voltage at the plug for the TPS and am getting 5volts (In Park).
Does anyone know if 5 volts is the correct voltage? Can anyone suggest anything else that I may have missed?
Any help would be appreciated.
i would probably unhook the battery for about 10mins, let the ECU reset, crank your car over again, run it for a while, then re check your error codes...
as for the voltage, i'm not entirely sure, i would suggest getting your hand on a gregory's manual there maybe an indication of what the correct voltage should be!
I've unhooked the battery and I'am also getting error 72 (Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal Intermittent While Driving) on top of the 22 code.
Sounds like one for the gregorys. Should have a checklist of things to go through and check to solve the problem.
not too shure if this is goin to help or not but to lodge the code 22 TP voltage is less then 0.2 volts
maybe there is a wiring issue at the pcm or ecu
