    Default retrofitting Irs to a Vs ute

    whos done it ... had a search and couldnt find anything and cant remember if its a straight fit in. pretty sure its a close fit.

    wasnt sure if all the mounts are the same, i can do the work myself, its just a matter of the cbf factor

    It's not just a bolt in conversion.
    There is going to be a lot of cutting and welding to get the mounting points.

    Can i ask why you would want IRS in the ute?
    Seems like HUGE amount of work for a purpose i cant see

    just cause i like to do things a little different, set it up as a grip monster lol.. i worked in the commo wreckers for a while and just couldnt remember if they bolted straight in or even close.

    Not sure on the utes but isn't the entire underbody of the sedan different making this nearly impossible on a sedan?

    thats pretty much what i read aswell, also engineering and shit since you pretty much need to cut out the floor etc etc..

    Yer not worth the hassle!
    But the ute, wagons and stato's use the same chassis so wouldn't be impossible just alot of work for little gain.

    No...they don't have a chassis, they all have the same wheel base but are totally different underneath.

    Would be easier to trade in your VS ute and get a VU or VY "grip monster" ute as I'm sure they already have IRS. You might have trouble finding one with "grip monster" badging though!!!:

    On a flat surface IRS doesn't offer any additional grip anyway.

    lol being from gumeracha you should be able to appreciate irs through chain of ponds. and why the hell would i buy a vu or vy lol... im not that far after irs... it was a thought that ran through my head... it cant be done , simple. lol
