doubt they would have done that.
i have bought many a battery from Battery World and each and every time, they test the battery in front of me to make sure its a good one.

Id say your Alternator is not working and you have killed the battery yourself.
Battery World have done the right thing (even though it isnt their responsibilty if you killed the battery) and have replaced it for you.

you can either replace/fix the alternator or leave it and see how long before this battery is dead as well.

alternator without a doubt mate cuz ur alternator charges ur battery and if its not working then all ur accesories , A/C / stereo n so forth start running of ur battery which flattens ur battery so yeha id get that checked

I would investigate further to. You will need a multimeter to check the battery voltage while the car is running to see if the alternator is charging the battery. It could also be your starter motor on its way out.

The guys at the battery shop will load test the battery. This doesnt charge the battery first. A discharged battery will show up as no good, even though it is still a good battery. Its just that its already flat. Thats my understanding anyway. You shouldnt need to jump start a new battery.

Save yourself some time and buy a brand newie. I got one to suit my 5.0L from sprints for less than $100 I recon. Replace your terminals as well if they are crappy, they aren't much either and check/change Voltage regulator is also less than $100 I recon.

I know you said its all good, but these might be things to look at if you have problems in the future. Hope it helps
