Just wondering where the hose goes from the heater valve on drivers side in engine bay. Does it go to the vaccum solenoid bellow stereo? When I push the valve in it doesn't hold pressure but it does when I put my finger over the port with hose off. Is that vacc line meant to hold pressure? I can blow through it slowy.
Thanks
That vacuum line should have vacuum on it with the engine running and the temp turned to cold (blue).
I didn't try it on cold only hot I must admit. I'm just trying to get my heater better than luke warm.
It makes sense though Hako, with the setting on hot it should create vacuum and when cold it should close the vacuum.
Cheers.

Yours is climate controlled, so I think the vacuum line goes to the far left (passenger side) of the vacuum solenoid block - yellow hose I think. My problem that I contacted you about a few months ago was caused by the far left solenoid being jammed open, so the heater tap was always getting vacuum, and hence I never got any heat.
Check the brass pipes where they go into the heater unit (above your left ankle when in drivers seat) - they should be hot with the engine running and temp set to hot. Also you probably have climate control which behaves differently to the aircon in Execs - I think the climate control mixes warm and cold air to suit the temp desired. Despite this I'd still imagine the brass pipe test would apply and give you an indication that coolant is flowing thru the heater.
The vacuum hose connects to the vacuum block which you mention in your first post, this can get disconnected when removing or installing the wireless if you ain't too careful.
To check for sure if that vacuum hose gets vacuum have someone change the temp setting with engine running whilst you hold the end of the vacuum hose.
Oh ok, I don't think that my problem more so now that flexy hose coming from the bottom right of Climate Control sensor on the Climate Control. Since I connected it up there is warm aire before there was nothing. If you or someone else with CC that see's this can post a pic up of how it connects up that would be much appreciated. I have the flexy hose with a elbow on the end but I think there is a T piece as well and there are two hole where it's meant to connect up.
Thanks Hako, you were right on the mark. Rep point for you. I just set it to cold and the valve was pushed right in then set it to hot and I could push the valve in and out so it works fine. I think my problem is with the that flexy hose running from in car sensor in the CC.
