    Default Flywheel questions....

I have just taken a flywheel out of a V6 VS. 8 bolt obviously.

From my understanding this will fit from a VP series 2 onwards? Will it fit right up to a VY?

whats the differece between the solid ones and dual mass ones, which models came out with which ones? How do you tell the difference between them? i.e. how do I tell which one this is...

solid one looks solid.... from memeory the dual mass is made of 2 parts, should be pretty obvious.... i think... only ever seen pictures of a dual mass, please correct me if im wrong.
The earliest Vs ecotects had the solid flywheel, with the T5 gearbox, and the later ones had the dual mass with the getrag box....

The ecotec engine uses its flywheel for ballancing, but the earlier buicks don't as they are internally ballanced, so if you put an ecotec flywheel on a buick engine you will need to modify it, and remove the ballance weight. as for later than Vs models, nothing after Vs was fitted with the t5 or a solid flywheel.....
