will the power steering rack from a vr v8 ss fit a vr equipe v6

just wanted to know if their is any difference between a v8 and a v6 steering rack as mine has started to leak oil badly.

In my experience there is no difference at all... I'll try find evidence to back that up though!

There shouldn't be, the VN/VP V6 & V8 ones are all interchangable if you know how. Wheres my bloody workshop manual when I need it.

It should be the same unless the donor V8 SS rack is the optional "speed sensitive" one. If so I wouldn't touch it as they are problematic.

If there is a solenoid on the valve body with a plug on it then it is speed sensitive, it will still fit physically, but the sensitive bit won't work.
