Speedo revs ip in park

My speedo does weird things, in park if I rev the car around 5000rpm the speedo goes up over 20Km/h.
Is this fixable?

normal something to do with resonances through the trans and pick up etc nothing to worry about they all do it

yeh my VR does it when i rev it around 2500-300 but has a weired noise aswell while the speed do jumps up and down

mine does the same speedo still works fine though so no need to worry i don't think

Noticed similar speedo behaviour.

I had just installed a new camshaft, and as per instructions had to rev and hold the engine at about 3000rpm for 10 mins or so. In doing this I noticed the speedo jumping around indicating 20 km/h speed while in park, and its an auto BTW, and I had never before observed the speedo doing this.

Now don't say this is crap [or I'm crazy] but for some unknown reason, I checked the transmission level it was almost [if not] empty! Poored in some transmission fluid up to the correct level, and I couldn't believe it, no more speedo problems at any engine rpm. Go figure?

One more thing to scratch off your checklist.
