    Default Whine noise in 4th

    Hey, I have a Vs V6 auto that makes a whineing noise when it changes into 4th. Anyone got any clues? could it be the centre tailshaft bearing?

    Most commodores have a slight diff whine if they've done high miles so it could be this.
    You say it makes the noise when it changes into 4th - is this with the converter locked up (above 80kph)?
